- Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic for about 5-7 minutes until translucent.
- Cook the ground beef in the skillet for 6-8 minutes until browned.
- Add curry powder, turmeric, cumin, sugar, black pepper, and salt.
- Thicken the filling by mixing cornstarch with beef broth, then stirring into the beef mixture.
- Cool the filling completely, about 15-20 minutes.
- Defrost and roll out puff pastry on a floured surface.
- Cut puff pastry into squares and fill with cooled beef filling, sealing edges.
- Chill puffs while preheating oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Brush tops with egg wash and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
