Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic for about 5-7 minutes until translucent.
  3. Cook the ground beef in the skillet for 6-8 minutes until browned.
  4. Add curry powder, turmeric, cumin, sugar, black pepper, and salt.
  5. Thicken the filling by mixing cornstarch with beef broth, then stirring into the beef mixture.
  6. Cool the filling completely, about 15-20 minutes.
  7. Defrost and roll out puff pastry on a floured surface.
  8. Cut puff pastry into squares and fill with cooled beef filling, sealing edges.
  9. Chill puffs while preheating oven to 400°F (200°C).
  10. Brush tops with egg wash and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
