  • 4 cloves Garlic minced, or garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) adjust for spice level
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons Honey or maple syrup for vegan option
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly cracked

  • 1 pound Pork Belly skinless, well-marbled
  • 1 medium Onion sliced
  • 2 stalks Green Onion for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil optional for flavor

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine freshly grated ginger, minced garlic, gochugaru, soy sauce, honey, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.
  2. Add the thinly sliced pork belly and sliced onion to the marinade, tossing to coat well. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. Preheat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes until hot.
  4. Add the marinated pork belly mixture to the hot skillet, spreading it in a single layer, and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. For optimal crispiness, cook the pork belly undisturbed for a few minutes between stirring.
  6. Once cooked, transfer the pork belly to a serving platter and garnish with chopped green onions.
