Step-by-Step Instructions for Shanghai Fried Noodles
  1. Begin by slicing the pork into thin strips, then marinate them in a bowl with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Bring salted water to a boil, add the thick noodles and cook for 3-5 minutes until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add marinated pork strips and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until browned.
  4. In the same skillet, add chopped cabbage, mushrooms, and green onions; stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender yet crisp.
  5. Add cooked noodles and any remaining marinade to the skillet, toss together for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
