Cooking Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the jumbo pasta shells until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or sausage with garlic and onion until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess grease and let cool.
- Mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl with the cooled meat mixture.
- Stuff each shell with the meat and cheese mixture, and place seam-side up in a greased baking dish.
- Spread marinara sauce on the bottom of the baking dish, arrange the shells, cover with more sauce, and top with extra mozzarella.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C), cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes.
- Let the dish rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
