Step-by-Step Instructions for Turkey Pesto Sandwich
- Spread softened butter generously on one side of each slice of sourdough bread. On the opposite side, layer a hearty amount of pesto.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place one slice of the prepared sourdough bread in the skillet, butter side down, and toast for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- On top of the toasted bread, add a slice of provolone cheese followed by sliced turkey breast and sprinkle sun-dried tomatoes.
- Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for another 2-3 minutes to melt the provolone cheese.
- Remove the lid and layer fresh tomato slices and your choice of greens on top.
- Spread pesto on the second slice of sourdough and place it on top, pesto side facing down. Toast for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Once toasted, transfer to a cutting board, slice in half, and serve warm.
