Step-by-Step Instructions for Dragon Noodles
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of light brown sugar, 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of ginger paste, and 2 cloves of minced garlic. Add 1 tablespoon of chili-garlic sauce, adjusting to taste. Set aside.
  2. Bring a large pot of unsalted water to a boil. Heat 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add 1 pound of ground pork, breaking it apart as it cooks for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Lower the heat and pour the prepared sauce over the pork. Add 1/2 cup of chopped cashews and simmer for 2-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  4. Cook 8 ounces of lo mein noodles according to package directions. Add 2 cups of chopped broccoli florets 2 minutes before noodles finish cooking. Drain and toss with oil.
  5. Add the drained noodles and broccoli to the skillet with the pork mixture. Toss over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until well coated and heated through. Garnish with green parts of 2 green onions and serve hot.
