Step-by-Step Instructions
- Wash and chop all vegetables: broccoli, red bell pepper, zucchini, and mushrooms. Mince the garlic and measure soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar.
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking apart with a spatula. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Stir in soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar, simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- In a separate pan, heat olive oil. Sauté minced garlic for 15-20 seconds, then add chopped mushrooms and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add broccoli, zucchini, and bell pepper to the mushroom pan. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp, drizzling soy sauce towards the end.
- Plate rice into bowls, top with sautéed beef and veggies, and drizzle with extra soy sauce if desired.

Notes
Use day-old rice for the best texture. Avoid overcooking vegetables to maintain crunch. Customize heat with chili flakes or Sriracha. Substitute proteins as desired. Optional: top with a fried or poached egg for extra richness.
