For the Biscuits
  • 1 can Refrigerated Biscuit Dough homemade shortcake can be used
  • 1 large Egg omit for vegan
  • 2 tbsp Water mixed with egg for egg wash
For the Filling
  • 1 lb Large Strawberries or any berry of choice
  • 1 8 oz tub Cool Whip defrosted, or use homemade whipped cream
  • 2 tbsp White Sugar can be omitted
For Assembly
  • 8 pieces Skewers adjust size as needed

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll the refrigerated biscuit dough into a 5-inch circle and cut out 7 circles per biscuit.
  3. Whisk together egg and water for the egg wash, brush on biscuits, then sprinkle with sugar.
  4. Bake the biscuits for 12-14 minutes until golden brown, then cool completely.
  5. Wash and slice the large strawberries, halving or quartering them for layering.
  6. Assemble kabobs by layering biscuit, strawberry slice, and Cool Whip on skewers.
  7. Serve immediately or refrigerate for a short time before serving.
