  • 1/2 cup Sweet Chili Sauce Look for brands with natural ingredients
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 medium Shallot Finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fish Sauce Or Soy Sauce as a gluten-free substitute
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Lime Juice From about 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro Chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Grated Ginger Fresh
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • to taste Salt
For the Toppings
  • 4 whole Whole Wheat Burger Buns
  • to taste Lettuce
  • to taste Sliced Cucumber
  • to taste Red Onion
  • to taste Extra Sweet Chili Sauce For drizzling

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all patty ingredients and mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Refrigerate formed patties for about 15 minutes before grilling.
Cooking
  1. Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat (375°F to 400°F).
  2. Cook patties on one side for 5-7 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  3. Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) for safety.
Assembly
  1. Toast whole wheat burger buns until lightly browned.
  2. Assemble each burger by layering lettuce, a turkey patty, sliced cucumbers, and red onions, then drizzle with extra sweet chili sauce.
