Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium skillet, heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, stirring for about 3-4 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
  3. Incorporate the ground turkey into the skillet, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  4. Add diced sweet potatoes, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and chicken broth. Stir and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Transfer the turkey and sweet potato mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading evenly.
  6. Sprinkle a layer of shredded cheese over the top. Bake for approximately 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let the dish cool for about 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley.
