  • 1 scoop Chocolate Protein Powder can be swapped for vanilla protein powder or omitted
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder acts as a leavening agent
  • 1 cup Dairy-Free Milk Soy, Oat, Rice, or Almond
  • 1/4 cup Canola Oil replace with neutral oil if desired
  • 1/2 cup Applesauce can replace with dairy-free Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract optional
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 cup Optional Chocolate Chips use dairy-free for a fully vegan option

Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine dairy-free milk, canola oil, sugar, applesauce, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, chocolate protein powder, and baking powder. Stir gently until just combined.
  4. Fold in optional chocolate chips.
  5. Spoon the batter into prepared muffin cups, filling them almost to the top.
  6. Bake the muffins for 22-25 minutes until they rise and form a slight crust.
  7. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
