Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by pouring 1 cup of filtered water into a small pot. Place the pot over medium-high heat and bring the water to a roaring boil.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add the peel of ½ orange and the cinnamon stick to the pot. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add either 1 black tea bag or 1 teaspoon of loose-leaf black tea to the pot. Increase the heat slightly and let it steep for 3-5 minutes.
  4. After steeping, carefully strain the tea mixture into a mug, discarding the cinnamon stick and orange peel.
  5. While the tea is still hot, stir in 1 teaspoon of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  6. Now, pour in 1 cup of milk or your chosen milk alternative to the pot. Gently heat the mixture over low heat for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. If needed, strain the tea once more to ensure a smooth finish. Pour the creamy Orange Cinnamon Milk Tea into your favorite cup and garnish.
