Step-by-Step Instructions for Green Tea Soda
  1. Begin by boiling 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan over high heat. Once boiling, remove the pan from the heat and add 2-3 green tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 2-3 minutes, until the color deepens to a rich green hue. Gently remove the tea bags and let the brewed tea cool slightly.
  2. While the tea is still warm, stir in 1-2 tablespoons of honey until it dissolves completely. Set the brewed tea aside to cool completely at room temperature, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Pour the cooled tea into a pitcher and place it in the refrigerator. Chill the brewed tea for at least 1 hour.
  4. Slice fresh fruits like lemons or berries to enhance the flavor. Aim for bite-sized pieces, about ¼ inch thick.
  5. Once the brewed tea is chilled, pour the tea halfway up in your glasses and add the fresh fruit slices.
  6. Gently fill each glass with carbonated water, filling it to the top. Stir gently to combine the ingredients without losing the effervescence.
  7. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves for added flavor and color. Serve immediately while the drink is still bubbly.
