- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch casserole dish.
- In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel to cool.
- Sauté the chopped onion in the bacon fat for 5 minutes until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook for 8-10 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat and season with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard.
- In a bowl, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, eggs, and heavy cream until smooth.
- Layer half of the beef mixture in the greased dish, followed by half of the cheese and half of the creamy mixture. Repeat layers.
- Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top before baking.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until set and bubbly.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then garnish with green onions before serving.
