  • 3 large Eggs
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 cups Whole Milk Can replace with almond milk
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • a pinch Salt
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup Honey Warmed; use maple syrup for vegan
For Garnishing
  • 2 tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with melted unsalted butter.
  2. Layer 8 sheets of phyllo in the dish, brushing melted butter between each sheet.
  3. Whisk together semolina flour, eggs, sugar, and milk until smooth; add cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Pour the filling evenly over the phyllo base and smooth it out.
  5. Layer additional phyllo on top, brushing with butter, and score the top layer.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and filling is set.
  7. Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then drizzle warmed honey over the top.
  8. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top before serving.
