Preparation Steps
- Chill the pan by placing it in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form for about 2 minutes.
- Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the condensed milk mixture, then fold in the remaining whipped cream until uniform.
- Pour the mixture into the chilled loaf pan and freeze for at least 10 hours, or up to 24 hours for best consistency.
- After 2 hours, stir in the crushed peppermint candy, re-cover the pan, and return it to the freezer.
