Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil over medium heat. Once shimmering, add 2 minced garlic cloves and 1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger. Sauté for about 5 minutes until golden and fragrant.
  2. Stir in 1 cup of jasmine rice, ensuring it is coated in the oil. Toast for about 2 minutes until slightly golden.
  3. Add 2 cups of diced fresh pineapple, 2 tablespoons of sriracha, 2 tablespoons of coconut aminos, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Sauté for an additional minute.
  4. Pour in 1.5 cups of water and bring to a gentle boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let it steam covered for an additional 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork.
